Zelda doesn’t tend to provide you with anything like Beowolf in DMC3, you don’t get a new weapon like a dark souls zweihander. I read this piece by Tevis Thompson roughly when it was originally published: I thought it was ridiculous at the time, how could you say Zelda’s bad? However it planted the idea, and as I continued to play, I saw a strong parallel between the lock-and-key design and generally everything in zelda. It was like a chore that I was waiting to be over with. One of my chairs is still leaned over from the way I used to sit in it more to the left side while playing a lot of the slower paced games I used to play, including twilight princess. I didn’t get why I was only playing it for short periods of time and got tired of it so quickly. You had a realtime weapon switch menu, you had a real outlet for all those rupees you’re constantly collecting in the form of upgrades and shield durability. I found myself playing Dark Souls more, and was like, “Why am I not playing skyward sword? I was majorly anticipating this?” Before release it seemed to me like they had seriously opened up the game, they added a sprint option, you could sprint up walls, you could finally slash using the Wiimote and not just as a replacement for the A button. I bought this at the same time as Dark Souls, and was playing both of them back and forth. Get the Goddess Cubes in Faron Woods and Deep Woods, 5 and 6 ( Heart Piece and Rupee Medal).Fucking FILLED with mini-cutscenes constantly fucking grabbing your control away.Open Goddess Cube Chest 8 (Skyloft, Gold Rupee).Get two Lanayru Desert Goddess Cubes, 22 and 23 ( Heart Medal and Life Medal).Open the Chest on the platform near the Silent Realm entrance.Now that you have the Clawshots you can get some great stuff in the area and beyond. There are several Chests, Goddess Cubes and Heart Pieces you can now reach. Try it out right here in the desert to completely avoid the quicksand. You can use the Clawshots to latch onto any target OR vines. You can alarm the next one since you are right next to the Tear and you can grab it to shut it up.įor completing the Silent Realm you will get an amazing reward: the Clawshots! Avoid the first one by standing to the side while it passes. One Tear in the north is on a wall guarded by enemies with lights.Use the map to find the footing to get to it. One Tear is in the desert sands to the north.One Tear is in a tree in the far south.Move a mine cart under it when the water recedes. Another Tear is floating in the air in the south.In the south area, a Tear on a cage requires you to move a mine cart.Remember that your map is still useful to show the locations of submerged walls. It's best to leave some easy Tears on the central platform so you can run for them if you need them. In this Silent Realm you still need to avoid the quicksand. You can replay this level and the Dusk Relics will move around, but respawn in the locations below. There are 15 Tears to collect and 7 Dusk Relic locations. This Silent Realm collection spree is much like the last one. Go to the marker and thrust your sword into the ground to begin the Silent Realm. Once there, pull out your harp and strum it in sync with the ring in order for the Silent Realm marker to appear. Use your Dowsing ability to spot the glow area nearby (with the Goddess Butterflies flying around it). That way, you will be near the spot to start the Silent Realm.
